About
About kitcheck.cc
kitcheck.cc is a free cycling kit calculator by Ties Kuiper, a road cyclist in the Netherlands. It answers the question every rider asks before a ride: what do I wear today?
Made by a road cyclist
A free, personal project by Ties Kuiper in the Netherlands. No shop or brand behind it, and no product placement in the advice.
Real forecast data
Hourly forecasts from Open-Meteo, place names from OpenStreetMap. No API keys, no accounts.
Private by default
No account, no newsletter, no ads. GPX files never leave your browser, and analytics only run if you accept them.
Rider-tested
Raas Racing Team rides with kitcheck.cc
Amateurs racing for fun, with one thing sorted: what to wear. Before every ride we check kitcheck.cc for a kit list based on the real forecast.
How it works
The calculator combines the hourly forecast for your ride with your effort level and how warm you naturally run. How it works explains every step, and the kit guide and the temperature chart use exactly the same logic.
Data sources
Forecasts and place search come from Open-Meteo, place names from Nominatim and maps from OpenFreeMap. Privacy details are in the privacy policy.
Check the forecast for your ride
The calculator uses the hourly forecast for your location and ride window, including wind, rain and how hard you're going.
